Approximately 7 to 10 hours away from American
cities, the Central American country of Costa Rica prides itself in being one
of the most popular Latin American destinations for medical tourism. Since the
boom of the medical tourism industry in many South American nations, Costa Rica
has accommodated over a million American tourists visiting its shores on a
yearly basis.
A former Spanish colony, Costa Rica’s national
language is Spanish but the majority of the people also speak English quite
fluently.
